Turkish food

Turkey is one of the most powerful countries in the field of tourism in the Middle East in recent years and it welcomes millions of tourists every year to visit and travel. One of the main attractions of this land is its very tasty and delicious food which encourages every tourist to choose this country as their destination. Foods nowadays known as Turkish cuisine throughout the world are inherited from the Ottoman food culture which, due to its combination of different cooking methods and the use of various spices in foods, differentiate itself from the food culture of the world and influence the culture of Eastern European and Middle Eastern food. The high use of vegetables, fish and olive oil in foods has made Turkish food one of the healthiest and richest foods in the world. One of the things that led to a greater variety of national cuisine; Cooking different food in each region of the land, this include Black Sea, Southeast Asian, Central Anatolian food and so on. Because of the special taste of the people of this land some of the dishes are more popular and have a worldwide reputation and are served in every Turkish restaurant. Among them are Turkish Kebab, Adana Kebab, Alexander Kebab, Doner Kebab, different types of meatballs, Istanbul baklava and others.

Baklava

Pastries and desserts have a special place in Turkey. One of the most famous and popular traditional and national desserts in Turkey is Istanbul Baklava.
Baklava is composed of thin layers of Uefka dough filled with crushed pistachios and walnuts and immersed in thick nectar or honey after baking. Baking baklava dates back to the Ottoman Empire.

Burek

One of the main Turkish appetizers is Burek, which has many fans. It’s not just in restaurants but it is also available on the streets and by venders. Burke is made with a thin layer of Uefka paste.

Donner Kebab

When it comes to Turkish food, the first food that comes to mind is donner kebabs or Turkish kebabs. The donner kebab consists of thin layers of meat with the seasoning of local spices cooked vertically on a spinning plate in a charcoal fire. This model of kebab is very popular among the people of the Middle East, including Iran.
